Verdant Garden for the SBTD July Hop

The Stampers By The Dozen are bringing you cards of love this month, I love the Verdant Garden stamp set for events of love. The stamps and verses are perfect for wedding and anniversary cards.

I am sharing two projects this month, this first one is perfect to enclose money or a gift card inside. The base is Soft Sea cardstock and the finished card is 3″x6″. I colored the images using Dark Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Blends. The layer the images are on is a little tricky but easy to do. I cut a piece of Whisper White 1″ larger than I needed, I stamped the images, then re-cut with my paper trimmer only up to the spots I was going to fussy cut around. Don’t you like the effect?

I stamped the images onto Whisper White cardstock, colored then fussy cut them to add to the inside.

This card measures 6″ x 6″ so I will be making a custom envelope for it. I used the In-Color Blends of Rococo Rose and Call Me Clover to color the images. The base of the card is Thick Whisper White with a mat of Rococo Rose.
