Memory Monday

Today’s Memory Monday Page layout is a two page spread that I made for Easter. I loved creating this using one of our Project Life by Stampin’ Up! divided page protectors. This particular page has 4, 4″ x 6″ pockets and 4, 3″ x 4″ pockets.  Do you remember the bunny fry boxes I showed you how to make a few weeks ago?

1bunnyI made a bunny for one of the 3″x4″ pockets.

I used Wisteria Wonder for a mat, created the bunny using crumb cake carstock and the bow was created with our bow builder punch and the 2013-2015 In-Color Designer paper Stack.

1eggsFor one of the other pockets I made 2 eggs using our Oval Framelits, cardstock and washi tape. The other two pockets were filled with cardstock. I will either add pictures, journaling or more embellishments once I decide the pictures that will go onto this layout.

I stamped the title and flowers for one of the 4″x6″ pockets, the others have cardstock and Designer Series Paper inserted until it is time to finish the pages- here is the first page.

The second page is a single 12 x 12 page with color blocking using the same papers as the first page. I have left a space along the right edge to put the year and add a few more embellishments. I stamped the same flowers along the top edge of the Designer Series Paper to create a fun border.

Little Trucks scrapbook pages

My Scrappin’ Friends monthly class love a variety of pages. I pulled out a few retired products for this layout- the Little Trucks stamp set & the Kaleidoscope Designer Series paper. They will do 2 2-page layouts each month, one being a simpler layout and one that takes a little more time to do. Who attends these classes? Young moms with toddlerrs and elementary aged children that have little time to scrapbook right now. They love the “crop & drop” method of scrapbooking where we make the lyouts then they go home to find pictures to put on. We also incorporate Project Life by Stampin’ Up! layouts into what we make. This is one of the layouts we made in our September Class.

They used the banner punch for the flags and our Stampin’ Write Markers that coordinated with the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper.

They will decide on the title for this layout once they find their pictures. Once they know they want to add the title they tell me, I bring a few alphabet stamp sets for them to add it.

If this sound like something you would love to do just contact me at: judi@judistamps.com and I will send you the details.

Banner Blast stamp set scrapbook page

I wasn’t planning on reviewing this scrapbook page I made using the Banner Blast stamp set but I have received several emails asking me about it. So I thought I would do this post answering the questions.

Happy Birthday Q- Where can I find the products you used on the scrapbook page with the banners?

A- I created this page using 3 of the items being offered during Sale-A-Bration. The Banner Blast stamp set (133551), I punched the banners out using the Banner punch (133519 ) & the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (133521 ).

Q- Where can I find the alphabet set you used on the scrapbook page with the banners?

A-  I didn’t use an alphabet set! I used the “Happy Birthday” verse from the From My Heart stamp set ( w-132007,  c- 126557 ). I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to stamp each letter individually then I punched each letter out using our 1/2″ circle punch. I encourage you to look at the stamp sets you own to see which ones you could use in this way.

Banner Close - UpQ- What colors did you stamps the banners in?

A- I used the Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding, and Summer Starfruit inks which coordinate with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.

Q- What is Sale-A-Bration?

A– Sale-A-Bration is going on now until March 31,2014. It is the when you can earn FREE merchandise from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for FREE with every $50. in merchandise you purchase.

I’d like to thank you for your questions. If you need a Sale-A-Bration Catalog and don’t have a demonstrator you are currently working with please contact me and I will mail one off to you right away.

Monstermaniacs Love

Our Monster Maniac stamp set  is perfect for a Valentine page or two! I am in love with this set and have been using it for so many projects lately. It was the first one I went to in creating these scrapbook pages for my grand baby, Samantha. This  will be her first Valentine’s Day.

Monstermaniacs page 1

The pages are only 8×8 because my daughter-in-law says she doesn’t do “picture books”. In fact, this book is going to be a book given to Samantha on her first birthday. It is filled with pages of “firsts”. I  am trying to sneak pictures so her mom doesn’t know I am doing the book. I will add more elements ( punched hearts in Real Red, WHisper WHite & Coastal Cabana) and journal blocks after I put the pictures on the page.

I used Real Red, Coastal Cabana & Basic Black cardstock and paper from the Fresh Prints  Designer Paper Pack (#132996).

Monstermaniacs 2

Here is a close up of the little monster.

I used my Blender Pen to watercolor her ( or is it him?)

Monstermaniacs page 2

This is the second page. I will have my son & daughter-in-law, each, write a special message to Samantha and tuck them in a mini envelope so she can read them when she is old enough. I know she will treasure these notes forever.  I will make the envelopes with my Envelope  Punch Board ( #133774)  once I get their “love” notes so they are just the right size.

Monstermaniacs3

When coloring this monster, I went over his hands and horn tips a few times so they would be a little darker. By layering the color I had more control of the final outcome.

Monstermaniacs4

I used my Stampin’ Write Marker fine tip to color in the stripes on the legs and neck. It is hard to tell in this picture but the neck is done in Real Red and Coastal Cabana and the legs are Real Red & white.

I have intended for these pages to be for Valentine’s Day but they could really be for any special event. I could see using it for one of those “cuddle” times or “What I love about you,” layout.

Do you find this stamp set irresistible? To order the Monstermaniacs 5-piece stamp set( #134972) for $14.95 go to my ONLINE STORE before it is no longer available. This stamp set is only available in clear-mount only.
