Project Life Halloween Page & Save 15% off stamps!

Scrapping Friends created this Halloween Page this month and I know they will be excited to learn they can get the stamp sets used to create it at 15% off this week! Each month, Scrapping Friends get together to create 2 layouts and 3 Birthday cards and I get to choose the themes! I ask them what they would like in the future and then I design the pages for them to make. Sometimes they copy me exactly but other times their creative minds run! ( I like it when that happens!). They all have young children so Birthday’s, Holiday’s and Sports layouts are always welcomed. This month I brought them 2 different Halloween layouts to make, in each they created 1 traditional 12×12 page & 1 Project Life by Stampin’ Up! page ( they love Project Life). Here is the Project Life page.

Project Life Halloween They loved combining the different elements to coordinate with their first page. We used the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, the Witches’ Night Stamp set, Happy Hauntings Washi Tape, Spider Web Doilies, Metallic Sequins in creating the page.

Spider Web shaker pocketWe used a small cello bag to create this Spider Web Shaker Pocket to fit into one of the 3 x 4 pockets. Don’t you just love it? Adds lots of bling to the layout!

Fun Fall Framelits and no stamping!

Who needs stamps?

I was so excited to receive my order last week, I was expecting a few of my newest fall products in the order. I knew that the Fun Fall Framelits would arrive on time but I had been notified the Fall Fest stamp set would be arriving a day or two later. I bought these two products in the bundle and saved 15% ! I was eager to some creative fun time since I had spent a few days cleaning up the mess in my stamp studio (read about it here). I didn’t let not having the stamp set keep me from playing with the Fun Fall framelits, after all who needs stamps?

I grabbed my Flower Pot  Designer Series Paper , a piece of Elegant Eggplant , Basic Black, Crushed Curry & Whisper White card stocks. I cut the Elegant Eggplant to measure 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ ,folded it in half to form the card base. Choosing the striped designer paper from the  pack, I cut it to 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, laid it onto the card base. Nope. Needs something.

Ah ha!

The stars decorative mask and the iridescent Ink pad (retired but you could use the Whisper White Craft pad which I couldn’t locate at the moment) That did it!

A smaller strip of designer paper with tails to form a banner. A circle punched from the Basic Black cardstock using the 2″ circle punch. Using the Fun Fall framelits I cut out a Ghost from the Whisper White cardstock.flower pot designer series paper

Oh my, so dull with no face! Using a sponge dauber and Pink Pirouette ink for cheeks and our Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker he now has personality! A harvest moon to add a bit of brightness (a circle punched from the Daffodil Delight cardstock and sponged around the edge with Tangerine Tango). I added a few silver brads onto the banner, attached the basic black circle to the card front, offset the moon and popped the ghost using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wanting a little bling, I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the edges of the ghost using my 2-way glue pen. I love it!! . . .and no stamps!Fall Fun framelits

Motley Monsters

Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper is a great choice for your Halloween cards, memory keeping, & paper crafting  needs. This quick card was a breeze to create by choosing a few different patterns from the Motley Monster Designer Series Paper Pack (135819).

For the bottom mat I chose the pattern that had the Motley Monsters, black cats & pumpkins across the bottom of the page. Leaves are  floating throughout the rest of the page.

Looking at this photo I got to thinking, how cute would it be to add a mini Rhinestone Jewel to the cats tooth?

The next pattern I used is the candy corn sprinkled on a black background. I was originally going to place a ribbon here but decided on this pattern paper instead. You know I had to add a bit of bling to this card, thus the Silver Glimmer Paper.

Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper pattern image

Sorry this picture is a little blurry but I have troubles getting it in focus with the glimmer paper and the light.

The top of the card uses another pattern- various colors of polka dots.

I created  a tag using the Cheerful Tags (135065) & Frightful Wreath (136816) stamp sets. Some more bling was added with a Black Glimmer Brad ( this were on the clearance rack but have sold out)

Cheerful Tags

I adhered all the designer series paper pieces onto a basic black mat and them onto a whisprr white card base.

Just click on the picture above for a better look at the images in their actual size. I already have a scrapbook page in mind that we will be creating in y September Scrappin’ Friends class on September 11. Be sure to check out my calendar of events if you’d like details.

I know I will be using the images in this set along with our Pumpkin Pie Goodie Gear kit Judi Anderson Pumkin Pie Goodie Gear kit to create fun goodie bags for friends and guests at upcoming events.

These images would also look cute used with our banner kits  found in the Holiday Catalog.

Festive & Fun

As promised, I am sharing another card from our Festive & Fun stamp set available Sept. 1. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. My husband doesn't know why I bother because our children are all grown up and we are still waiting for the grandchildren to start arriving. I love fall and I love Halloween, what else is there to say? ..and I believe we all have a little kid inside us.

One of my favorite things to do each year, is to add to the viniette I have above my kitchen sink. My window is boxed out so I have this wonderful shelf that I decorate for each holiday. For Halloween I have this feather tree that I have added different things to hang each year. I am thinking of making a garland  using the Halloween image from the Festive & Fun set. Doesn't that sound like fun?? I will take a picture and share it with you when I have completed it and put it up. In the meantime, here is a card I made.

It is a little different fold, kind of like the matchbox fold. The Elegant Envy right edge is where it opens. Here is what I used:

Stamps: Festive Fun

Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Daffodile Delight, Old Olive

Paper: Elegant Envy, Basic Black, Whisper White cs, Brights Collection (#117155) DSP Paper Pack

Misc: Basic Black Glimmer Brads( basic Collection # 121003), Pepr piercing tool & mats, Simply Scored scoring tool, aqua painter

Be sure click HERE for more creative ideas, place your order, and view upcoming events!

Holly jolly

This card reminds me of when I was in 4th grade and we made tissue flowers. I made tons of purple and orange ones~ my favorite color combination back then! Still is for Halloween!
