Project Life Halloween Page & Save 15% off stamps!

Scrapping Friends created this Halloween Page this month and I know they will be excited to learn they can get the stamp sets used to create it at 15% off this week! Each month, Scrapping Friends get together to create 2 layouts and 3 Birthday cards and I get to choose the themes! I ask them what they would like in the future and then I design the pages for them to make. Sometimes they copy me exactly but other times their creative minds run! ( I like it when that happens!). They all have young children so Birthday’s, Holiday’s and Sports layouts are always welcomed. This month I brought them 2 different Halloween layouts to make, in each they created 1 traditional 12×12 page & 1 Project Life by Stampin’ Up! page ( they love Project Life). Here is the Project Life page.

Project Life Halloween They loved combining the different elements to coordinate with their first page. We used the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, the Witches’ Night Stamp set, Happy Hauntings Washi Tape, Spider Web Doilies, Metallic Sequins in creating the page.

Spider Web shaker pocketWe used a small cello bag to create this Spider Web Shaker Pocket to fit into one of the 3 x 4 pockets. Don’t you just love it? Adds lots of bling to the layout!

Memory Monday

Today’s Memory Monday Page layout is a two page spread that I made for Easter. I loved creating this using one of our Project Life by Stampin’ Up! divided page protectors. This particular page has 4, 4″ x 6″ pockets and 4, 3″ x 4″ pockets.  Do you remember the bunny fry boxes I showed you how to make a few weeks ago?

1bunnyI made a bunny for one of the 3″x4″ pockets.

I used Wisteria Wonder for a mat, created the bunny using crumb cake carstock and the bow was created with our bow builder punch and the 2013-2015 In-Color Designer paper Stack.

1eggsFor one of the other pockets I made 2 eggs using our Oval Framelits, cardstock and washi tape. The other two pockets were filled with cardstock. I will either add pictures, journaling or more embellishments once I decide the pictures that will go onto this layout.

I stamped the title and flowers for one of the 4″x6″ pockets, the others have cardstock and Designer Series Paper inserted until it is time to finish the pages- here is the first page.

1easterpage

The second page is a single 12 x 12 page with color blocking using the same papers as the first page. I have left a space along the right edge to put the year and add a few more embellishments. I stamped the same flowers along the top edge of the Designer Series Paper to create a fun border.

A Happy Thing in Pink Pirouette or Soft Sky~ which do you prefer?

I just can’t decide, which of these 2 cards using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, “A Happy Thing” do you prefer? Pink Pirouette or Soft Sky?

I participated in a few swaps for Leadership Conference in January and these were 2 of the cards I created for two of the swaps. The first time I set eyes on this stamp set I imagined this card.  I really loved the Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede card I did until I did the Soft Sky and Soft Suede card. I can’t decide which I like better. . .

A Happy Thing stamp set image

For this version I used our Pearl Jewels, colored them with our Crumb Cake Blendabilities for the flower centers. I colored this bird with the Crumb Cake & Pink Pirouette Blendabilities and brayered Crumb Cake ink onto the Beautiful Baroque Embossing Folder. I used a gold mini clothespin to hold the tag onto the banners.

A Happy Thing stamp set imageFor this version I used my Aqua Painter to color the bird with Soft Sky and Crumb Cake inks. I used our Rhinestone Jewels for the flower centers and on the banner for some added bling. I, again, colored the embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink. This version received a silver mini clothespin.

The A Happy Thing stamp set is found on page 19 of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog

Can you pick just one??

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st and this set is exclusive and will not be available through me after March 31st. Place your order here.

Did you miss that our Blendabilities Product Line has been discontinued?

I shared this last week when it was announced however my post disappeared and I can’t get  it back up so I decided to just re do it.

It is with much sadness that I need to tell you our Blendabilities Product Line has been discontinued. The following is what was posted on the Stampin’ Up! Blog. Be sure to click on the links if you have any questions. If your questions aren’t answered there, contact the demonstrator you purchased them from, including me.

Blendabilities Product Line Has Been Discontinued

Many of you may already be aware that we have experienced a quality issue with our Blendabilities product line, and we thank you for your patience as we’ve worked through this sensitive matter.

We’ve done everything possible to work with our manufacturer; unfortunately, with no solution in sight, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to discontinue this popular product line.

We have provided you with a Q & A in the hopes that this will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for your support as we continue to look for products that will meet our customer’s needs and provide you with the quality that you have come to expect from Stampin’ Up!

NEW Sale-A-Bration items added!!

We have just added several NEW NEW Sale-A-Bration items today. As you may have heard, although the dock strike has ended it is (and will be) causing havoc to many companies. they are estimating it to be another 3-4 months before all those shipping containers sitting in the west coast ports to be brought to their destinations.

This has caused many of our products, including Sale-A-Bration items, to become unavailable. With this happening, they have added NEW Sale-A-Bration items for you today!!

Why we should send hand-written cards

I wanted to share something that is dear to my heart with you today. On our last day of Leadership Conference we had an awesome key-note speaker, Jason Wright.  He talked about how IMPORTANT it is to send hand written notes.  How appropriate it is for all of us since we make beautiful cards every day.  Jason shared a few stories that happened in his life, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

My intentions are always good, however, I am guilty of having cards stashed in a box, or two, sitting on my desk. Not sure why, guess I like to look at them?!  Can you relate?  We need to start putting those cards in the mail with a little note.  We never know what tomorrow will bring so don’t put it off.  I challenge each of you to go to your card stash (I know you all have them), pick out a card, write a quick note in it, find the envelope, address it and put it in the mail today.  Show someone that you care.

I am pledging to send out a few cards a day for the next month, beginning today through March 14th. I will be sending cards to those of you I see on a regular basis, some not so often and some only once in a while. I will be putting all those who have touched my life in the past 15 years of being a demonstrator into a bowl and draw a couple of names each day. Will you be one of those lucky names I draw?

Here is a picture of Jason sharing one of his stories.

It was a great Leadership Conference, one that is on the top of my list.  Convention is the next big event — July in Salt Lake City.  I would love to have you join our team in Salt Lake City this summer!

Lovely Amazing You

Stampin’ Up! just released our newest photopolymer stamp set called Lovely Amazing You. I love it! The script and the verses are wonderful which is why I say this set is a “must have” at a cost of only $15.95. This sample was posted on the website and is so on trend.

Lovely Amazing You stamp setThe clean simplicity of this card makes it a WOW. The feathers were stamped three times using the “stamp off” technique to create the different depths of color. For those of you that attended my monthly “Cards & Techniques” Class in February, this is another great card to use your Ombre Blendabilities Technique on.

Here are the images in this awesome set:
