Wildly Happy, SBTD June Blog Hop

The new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog launched last week and we are combining something old with something new in this month’s hop. I have chosen to use the new stamp set, Wildly Happy with the older Waterfront stamp set.

This stamp set spoke to me the minute I saw it. I was lucky to win the Wildly Happy stamp set in prize patrol at On Stage this past April. OMG! These babies cuddling with their mama (or papa) are just too dang cute! Do you have a favorite image? These images aren’t only great for baby cards but perfect for framing in a nursery or a layout of a visit to the zoo, or how about documenting those cute little bunnies you happen across when going for walks!

I used several techniques in making this card; masking, coloring with Blends, water wash, and brayering. It may seem it took a while to create but in reality I made it in about 10-15 minutes. I added a strip of the See A Sihouette DSesigner Series Paper to the bottom of the card. I felt it needed a little something and thought this print had the right feel.

The inks I used were: Night of Navy, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, and Garden Green for the scenery. Pool Party and Balmy Blue for the sky with the sun in Mango Melody. I stamped the elephants in Gray Granite and colored them with Dark & Light Smokey Slate & Rococo Rose Blends.

Let’s see what Susan is sharing with us this month!

  1. Beautiful use of the old and new stamp sets. The Waterfront is the perfect backdrop for this Mama Elephant and Baby. I like the Mosaic strip on the base of the card and your colouring. Well done!
